🧠 How SM-2 works (tap to learn) — v2 spaced repetition
Anki’s SM-2 (Wozniak, 1987) in 4 steps:
  1. Ease (EF) starts at 2.5. After each review: EF += 0.1 - (5-q)*(0.08+(5-q)*0.02) (min 1.3). q = your grade: 1=Again, 3=Hard, 4=Good, 5=Easy.
  2. If q < 3 (Again): lapses++, reps=0, interval=1 day (tomorrow).
  3. If q ≥ 3: reps++. Interval = 1d (1st), 6d (2nd), or round(prevInterval × EF) afterwards.
  4. Due date = today + interval. We store ef, interval, reps, due, lapses per word in localStorage: ydt-sm2-v2. Due words are shown first.
Why it’s powerful: Easy words quickly go to weeks/months, difficult words stay daily — you study 3× less than “Still Learning”. Algorithm explained in code: sm2Update().
Example: ambiguity EF 2.5 → Good (q=4) → EF 2.5, interval 1→6→15 days. Again (q=1) → EF 1.96, interval 1 day, lapses+1.

🧠 How to Memorize Vocabulary

  • Spaced repetition — Review at increasing intervals: 1 day → 3 days → 7 days → 14 days.Aralıklı tekrar yapın: 1 gün → 3 gün → 7 gün → 14 gün arayla çalışın.
  • Study in sentences — Never memorize a word alone. Learn it in context.Kelimeleri cümle içinde öğrenin, yalnız ezberlemeyin.
  • Learn word families — "justify" → "justification" → "justified" → "unjustified".Kelime ailelerini öğrenin: fiil, isim, sıfat birlikte çalışın.
